1975

A pan shop in Kashmir

It did not begin with almonds. It began with paan, warm tea, and neighbours who had nowhere else to be. Our founder opened a small shop in Kashmir in 1975. The counter was simple. The intention was not.

Regulars started asking for something to eat alongside their chai. A handful of pistachios. A scoop of cashews, weighed on a brass scale. Word moved the way it only does when something is genuinely good.

1995

Five brothers. One decision.

We chose not to quit

The mid-nineties were hard. Sales had slowed. The easy choice would have been to walk away.

Five brothers did not. No meeting, no plan — just a shared, quiet refusal to let fifty years of their father's work become a closed door. That decision is in every pack we send out today.

2006

Only dry fruits. Nothing else.

The paan stopped. The stationery went. In 2006, thirty years after the first handful of cashews crossed the counter, the family made it official. This was a dry fruit business. Always had been, really.

What followed was a decade of quiet obsession — sourcing better, grading harder, refusing to put anything on a shelf that the family would not eat themselves.

A new chapter
